RUGBY
6 NATIONS - Italy v Ireland and Italy v Wales
Rome, is host to the annual Six Nations
Rugby Tournament where Italy compete against England,
Scotland, France, Ireland and Wales - in 2007 Italy's
home matches are Italy versus Wales on Saturday 10 March
followed by Italy v Wales 1 week later on Saturday 17
March which coincidentally is also St Patricks Day.
The 6 nations 2007 tournament promises to be a very
interesting prelude to the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France
later that year... The 6 Nations kicks off for Italy
with a match against their Transalpine cousins coming
on Saturday 3 of February when Italy versus France.

Unfortunately due to the high demand
for tickets for this match we are not able to offer
assistance in purchasing match tickets for Italy games
or even Italia v Francia is going to be a sell out.
NB it might be worth pointing out that our hotel
has a long history of Irish Guests as we are
located directly opposite the Irish Church St Patrick's
(San Patrizio in Italian) which is a very popular church
for Irish and American Weddings.
The Hotel Veneto is located very near
the Via Veneto which is only a 25 minute walk from the
Stadio Flaminio which is where the Italy 6 Nations Rugby
Matches are played. Our hotel concierge will provide
you with your own pocket map and detailed instructions
on how to walk there - whether or not you get there
depends on how many beers you had before embarking on
your trip!
