Value for Money Hotel - Rome - Former Guest's Comments

I stayed at the Veneto Hotel for a week. Great location in Rome. The breakfast was excellent...typical Italian style with fresh croissants , cappuccino , cereals, breads, yogurt. Desk staff were particularly helpful offering good restaurant recommendations as well as making reservations and calling ahead for us (which I recommend doing that way they know your coming and you aren't as likely to get ripped off)). I will surely come back to Rome and to the Hotel Veneto, which offers the best rates for great rooms which you can book online.

We stayed at the Hotel Veneto for a night in September of 2003 and if you are looking for a Value for Money hotel in Rome then you've found it.. The location is good as it is only a few blocks from the train station and from the Spanish Steps. The lobby is very nice and airy. The furniture inside the rooms is old but interesting. The bedrooms are also quite big but more importantly they are spotlessly clean. Excellent service in the morning. We loved the location which was in a quiet neighbourhood in downtown Rome only a short walk from the Spanish Steps and some super dooper shopping.... . I am glad we stayed at the Veneto Hotel and hopefully will come back to Rome soon.

Myself and my wife both stayed at this hotel and had a fabulous time. The hotel is located in one of the poshest parts of Rome so consequently you are completely safe and far removed from the hustle and bustle of the Train Station. The rooms were fine and excellent value for money although the breakfast was a bit of a let down - coffee,tea, cereals, croissants and diluted orange squash. Remember to ask the waitress for a real cappuccino (no extra charge!)
