Italian
Parliament Rome
Without doubt one of the most impressive
buidlings in the Eternal City located in Piazza Colonna
and very near the official merchandising store of AS
Roma the official soccer team in Rome.
Happily here at the Hotel Veneto in
Rome we are not politicians but football fans therefore
our guests include people who are more interested in
the Stadio Olimpico and Roma store than the Italian
Parliament.
The parliament itself is informally
known as Piazza "Colonna" - due to the presence
of a huge obelisk in the middle of the square - the
square is a strict no go area whenever the Italian parliament
are in session. Unfortunately this 360 degree virtual
photo of the Parliament was taken very early in the
morning - we suggest you go and see it during the day
time on a Sunday as it is surely one of the most impressive
buidlings to be found in the Eternal City Rome.
Be warned though that due to the increased
security some restrictions may be enforced to stop you
taking photographs of this highly sensitive building.
Did you Know?
Italian parliamentary debates are often very heated
and several times a year end up in a free for all with
blows being exchanged by the various political parties. |
